CHESTER. Under The Underpass.

Every once in a while a scene presents itself to you so completely that it would almost be a criminal act not to take the shot.

I had taken myself off to Chester today to get out of the house and grab some fresh air and a change of scene. As usual I travelled there by train and from the railway station and walked into the town centre. Part of the way down City Road there’s a busy road junction with a pedestrian underpass. It has a twisty turny layout. Not sure why, an architectural conceit? Whatever the reason a lone figure came into view in the distance and I just had to take the shot, it was only there for a second or two, it was an instinctive reaction. If I’d waited to size things up the scene that caught my eye would have disappeared. I took a second shot without the figure just as a back up record. There both here so you can think them over and compare.

  1. I love these! Always envy those people who could take awesome pictures in B/W, I don’t think I have enough talent to rock monotonous colours 🙂 I myself own a portfolio blog if you want to check it out: https://gallery.adnabilah.com. I just hit follow!
