An evening stroll along the Tyne took me past the tilting bridge on the Tyne. It’s unusual design means it opens a bit like an eye winking to allow shipping to pass underneath.
In the background the Baltic Gallery can be seen. A former Rank Hovis flour mill from the early 2000’s has been an exhibition space for contemporary art.
This stretch of the Newcastle quayside is quite the place to sit back, to see and be seen.
