Drop off the tram by the North Euston Hotel, cross the road to the promenade and by the big chippy you’ll find the ramp down to the Wyre Ferry.

A fair proportion of my trips out are on the spontaneous side. I do have a list of possible destinations but the final decision is often made on the day, taking in what the weather is likely to be or what the travelling conditions could be like.

Right, an off and about day again. The Lake District is in my sights again, travelling up needed a change of trains at Preston, the powers that be say that train usage is still low, not sure that’s right…..
