One of the many delights of the Edinburgh Festival is walking down the Royal Mile past the preview stages and taking in the bite sized samples of the shows on offer. Music, drama, magic or just plain odd, they are all their for your enjoyment.

If you flit back through the electric pages of my blog you’ll know that Chester is a regular destination of mine. It has a range of attractions for the camera carrying blogger. History dating back to Roman and pre Roman times, a range of architectural styles, plus the contrast between the hustle and bustle of the city centre and the quieter stretches down by the river Dee at the Groves where it pauses a while before launching itself over the weir by the Old Dee Bridge on its way out to the estuary and the Irish Sea.

A Little while ago I took a trip out to Hull on the east coast. Things had begun the long return to normal and I needed to visit a place I either hadn’t been to before or hadn’t been to for a long time. After a bit of head scratching and no I didn’t get any splinters in my fingers, I decided on a revisit to Hull.

I always enjoy a visit to Fleetwood, as much as I like Blackpool it can leave me feeling a bit wrung out with the non stop fun. So I look forward to a tram ride up the promenade, hopefully with the Irish Sea sparkling in the sun.

The place is Liverpool, the dateline line is August 2014. I’m making my way across the city from Lime Street station on my way to the Wirral. Sometimes I catch the Merseyrail train from the sub surface platform at Lime Street, other times I make my way through the city to James Street station down near the Pier Head.
