Now the day’s are doing their exercises and stretching a bit more. It’s no longer getting dark at four in the afternoon but nearer six thirty so I can start to hit some of my favourite destinations as well as sniffing out some new ones.
Lytham is on the branch line that runs from the main line to Blackpool North, it leaves that route at Kirkham & Wesham and heads down towards the coast on the estuary of the River Ribble as it flows out towards the Irish Sea.
Outside the skies are gray, the wind is blowing and the rain is falling. Not the best of evenings. But on the plus side March is nearly here and Spring is creeping ever closer. The returning pleasures of long days and sunshine, throwing off the mole like hibernating habits of winter.
