SNAPSHOT! Shrewsbury. Let There Be Lights And Make Them Christmas Ones.

I am writing this by the fading light of the day and the flickering volts of my mobile’s battery as not for the first time I have bounced out of the house without the charging cable.

Rudolph spangles the night away on Pride Hill.

I’ve come to Shrewsbury as a last trip before the steamroller that is Christmas arrives and flattens everything before it. Anyway regular readers ( thank you if you are and hello if you are a first time visitor ) will know that I have a real liking for the capital of Shropshire. If you have never visited put it on your 2022 list.

Lunch was partaken in the Birds Nest Cafe in the market hall

I wanted to see the town in it’s Christmas finery, there was a display down Pride Hill to the market hall and the Square was lit up with the stalls of a Christmas market.

The Square with the Old Market House cafe & cinema in the background. You can watch the current film releases and have a very fine hot chocolate.
Pride Hill.

All in all a decent day out, some freash air, a few photos and some good food.

Nearly forgot, I had coffee and toast when I arrived, in the Shrewsbury Coffee House just up from the station. Just to be controversial I had Marmite on my toast…..
