SHEFFIELD. Fountains In The Evening.
Sheffield is a favourite destination. I’m no expert of the South Yorkshire city but I’m working on it. It’s a relatively easy place for me to get to. By car, if I have to, I take the route through Derbyshire and the Snake Pass. The preferred option though is the train. There’s a regular through service from Warrington which is straightforward for me to get to.

When I want a walk, a bit of fresh air and a beautiful view all rolled into one, Grange over Sands is one of the places I head to.
ASTLEY HALL. People in Glass Houses.
Any of you readers who soldier on with my blog will have noticed that I have a liking for parks and gardens. Astley Hall and its Park is a favourite of mine that’s not too far away from where I live.

CHESTER. Watching The River Dance By.
I took a trip to Chester at the weekend. I used the train and went what for me is the long way round. Into Liverpool by the fast train from one of my local stations and then out again down through the Wirral and into the walled capital of Cheshire.
