Ever so slowly the brakes are coming off and life is starting the long haul back to normal. To take advantage of this opening window a took a short train ride to the Cheshire market town of Frodsham.

There’s something about a market. The liveliness, colours in the produce for sale, the human too-ing and fro-ing etc. Taken together these all give a photographer opportunities to observe and catch with a discreet press of a shutter button.

A little to the east of Manchester is Ashton under Lyne, nestling by the Pennine Hills. My time travelling blog has brought you here on a brisk day in February 2012. I’m taking a trip out on the train, heading for Llandudno. I’d pre-booked my tickets to take advantage of the savings and to save a bit of time on the day as I’m heading out early.
