Well 2021 has taken its last bow collected a farewell bouquet and has left the stage. It’s only three days into 2022 so too soon to come up with any real impressions of what sort of year it will be.

For many years I would holiday in Scotland, basing myself in Dunkeld, Perthshire. It’s a beautiful area in it’s own right but with the added attraction of really good travel connections by either road or rail to other parts of the country.

There’s a certain romance about travelling by rail and yes I know there can also be some frustration too.

Right so 2021 is in it’s final decent before landing and regenerating into a New Year. I like my metaphors mixed not shaken or stirred.
