Leaving the market I headed out to the promenade. The sun was glorious with only the shadows hiding a cool edge to the day. That said people were out and about enjoying the first bursts of almost spring warmth, throwing off the shackles of a winter that is in danger of overstaying it’s welcome.
The sun is high in the sky today so I’m off out and about to make the most of it before that fickle mistress, the British weather changes it’s mind and flounces off under a rain cloud. It’s market day at Fleetwood, think I’ll head off there.
Today’s journey involves a change of train at Shrewsbury. Any regular readers of these daft ramblings will know that I have a real affection for the town, think another trip will have to be organized. Out and about today, destination Cardiff. The days are lengthening and it’s time to start coming out of hibernation. It’s a little ritual of mine, a little treat that’s been missing while Vivid has been hovering around. The trolleys are coming back on the trains and the big kid in me enjoys a coffee and biscuits while the world passes the carriage window.
Standing just off the Square proper is the tall, red brick tower of Hamilton Square Railway station.
