A feature of the Edinburgh Fringe that I always take notice of is the army of the flyer distributors that inhabit the Royal Mile around where the preview stages sit. There’s is the unsung task of persuading/cajoling/jollying along the passing punters to come and see their show.

Okay, who’s up for a quick, black and white, whistle stop tour of some of Edinburgh’s less touristy bits?

Autumn’s winds are getting cooler and the clocks go back at the end of the month. The long drag of Winter is just around the corner. At least I have plenty of sunshine on file in my photographs.

The day has continued. I arrived in Buxton quite handily for the bus down to Bakewell. The really helpful bus driver pointed out that the day ticket was not only cheaper than two single tickets but it also covered a bigger area. So game on and first stop Bakewell.
