One of the things I like to discover on my wanderings are the old, painted wall advertisements.

I took a trip into North Wales at the weekend. Train into Bangor then the bus onward to Caernarvon. The weather could have been a little kinder but it was a day out and there were photos to track down.

I have a liking for the walk along the promenade at Morecambe, especially the stretch from the Battery to Heysham village. The concrete seats and tables always catch my eye, I can never quite decide whether they are really for use or for decoration. S So far so good, Mr Bluesky hasn’t turned up yet but Mr. Rainyday is also absent. I haven’t been to Sheffield in a while so there’s always the acclimatization period while I wander around more aimlessly than normal while I remember where everything is. A favourite feature of Astley Hall and park is the walled garden to the rear of the hall. Once it would have been the provider of fresh produce through the year for the hall and it’s inhabitants.
