A favourite feature of Astley Hall and park is the walled garden to the rear of the hall.
Once it would have been the provider of fresh produce through the year for the hall and it’s inhabitants.
Now it’s an oasis of calm and contemplation, where the bees buzz contentedly and the birds sing
And watching over from a shady corner stands the wicker woman, taking it all in but saying nowt.
