January is beginning to pack it’s bags ready to wave goodbye for another year. February is on the horizon with a promise of days starting to lengthen and hopefully more regular visits from Mr. Blue Sky. Well we can hope can’t we.
The compiling of 2023 destinations continues. These shots were taken in Bangor, North Wales last October. Again I like the place not just for itself but for the journey out as well. It’s generally a one train journey so I can find a seat and settle down for the hour and a half it takes and watch the North Wales coast slide by and try and be productive with the laptop etc.

It’s an easy walk through the town, which has a fine selection of eateries and places to grab a coffee etc. The pier itself isn’t an amusement arcade filled place but a great viewing point as it reaches out into the Menai Strait, the Isle of Anglesey feels almost within touching distance.

I had a walk down to the end of the pier, the autumn sun was setting so I caught the last of that evening glow that seem such a part of an Autumn evening. I took in the scenery for a while, though it was cool it wasn’t unpleasantly so. There’s a café at the end, so refreshed with a coffee and cake I turned and made my way back to the railway station.
