PRESTON. A Day out On The Bus.

The weather is still stuck in “Unfriendly” mode but sitting in looking out at the world outside is not one of my favourite ways to pass the time so it was on with the big coat and out on the bus to Preston.

Right the days are starting to stretch themselves, second by second they get longer, brighter but as yet not much warmer. So the race it hotting up ( see what I did there) to get out on the trail again, get some trips organised before Autumn creeps around the corner bringing his icy friend with him and the year starts to shut down again.

Going back to my rail journey along the Conwy Valley and up to Blaenau Ffestiniog, I was making my way back to the station, it’s that thing when you’re retracing your steps you seen all the things you didn’t see when you were walking the other way. The change of viewpoint, a different angle of view, throws up odd corners and alleyways that suddenly gain an added level of interest. […]

One of the treats of walking around a location with a history is coming across those pieces of street furniture that are slowly disappearing.

January is beginning to pack it’s bags ready to wave goodbye for another year. February is on the horizon with a promise of days starting to lengthen and hopefully more regular visits from Mr. Blue Sky. Well we can hope can’t we.

The new year is beginning to pick up speed. Still one or two things hanging around from its predecessor but that’s nothing new.
