FORMBY. A Figure In A Landscape.

The railway station at Formby is a little way off the town centre.
Just a little tidy up from yesterday’s bus heavy trip to the Lake District.
I’ve just stumbled across these images, they were taken on a Spring day walk through the Sankey Valley.
Saturday had been busy so Sunday had to be quiet. One of my favourite locations for loosing myself or forest bathing as I understand its now called, are the Terraced Gardens at Rivington. Once the site of Lord Leverhulme’s weekend retreat.
I’m sat in my little spare bedroom of an office watching the rain hammer down outside, which is I suppose preferable to being out in it. Even without the current sadnesses and difficulties, this is a part of the year that always drags for me. Daylight is still on the scarce side and the weather is as unpredictable as a half starved Bugblatter Beast from Traal ( yes it’s the kind of weather where a Hoopy Frood needs to know where his towel is #HGTTG )
