MARYPORT. You Don’t Always Get The Shot You Expect.

You see, the thing with photography is that for all the technology etc there’s still a few things that are in the lap of the Gods.

It has been a cool, drizzly day in Keswick but after the Sorchio weather at the beginning of the week that’s no bad thing. For all that it’s been another pleasant day in the Lake District. Here’s some of the fruits of a couple of hours wandering.
One of the things I look forward to on my cake and coffee hunting trips is finding somewhere that not only has the pre-requite good coffee and wonderful cake but as a bonus has a big window that I can sit by and watch the world go by.
The walk out from Keswick town centre to the shore of Derwentwater is an easy peasy one, taking you through Hope Park and past the Theatre By The Lake
Continuing the evening theme. A glimpse of Miller Park in Preston at the end of a December day. No snow but a crisp, clear sky. The shadows lengthen like pencil marks across the page of the day. The fountain glints like a jewelled spray and the setting sun tints with a warming glow. Trees stand leafless waiting for Spring to hurry along and get to its work. A summer evening has a quality all it’s own for me.
