It looks like the sun has not got his hat on today, in fact he’s taken the day off and Mr Bluesky is somewhere behind a layer of porridgey grey sky. Nevertheless, I’m braving the weather with a train and bus trip up to Keswick, better to get wet in a pretty area like the Lake District than sitting in counting the flowers on the wallpaper. Lytham is on the branch line that runs from the main line to Blackpool North, it leaves that route at Kirkham & Wesham and heads down towards the coast on the estuary of the River Ribble as it flows out towards the Irish Sea.
The weather is still stuck in “Unfriendly” mode but sitting in looking out at the world outside is not one of my favourite ways to pass the time so it was on with the big coat and out on the bus to Preston.
