Leigh is a former mining town not too far away and like many towns that were mainly reliant on one industry it’s not had it troubles to seek over the last few years. A favourite destination of mine is the Derbyshire Spa town of Buxton. It’s a relatively easy rail journey from where I live and an enjoyable one too. Climbing up and out of Manchester from Piccadilly station and into the Peak District.
