After my very pleasant lunch I took at walk away from the buzz of the city centre, and headed out to the nearby coast. The Menai Strait flows fast here, separating the mainland from the Isle of Angelsey.
The salt laden breeze was sharp and fresh as I ambled along the coastal path. A delightful feature is the Pier at Garth. It’s not a gaudy, entertainment decked affair, just a straightforward affair reaching out across the straits to what seems like touching distance of the other side. A clutch of elegant pavilions provide coffee and cake ( noted for future visits ).
