The sorting process for places to visit in 2023 continues. West Yorkshire has popped up on my radar, now for some reason I haven’t travelled over that way for quite a while.

One of the treats of walking around a location with a history is coming across those pieces of street furniture that are slowly disappearing.

More combing through the files looking for travel inspiration for this coming year. I travel up to Newcastle upon Tyne from time to time and a favourite place to break the journey, yes cake and coffee, is the Cumbrian market town of Brampton.

January is still being an “unhelpful” month, the cold winds and grey skies are not very encouraging when it comes to moving out of the house and braving the weather.

It’s been a trip to Chester day today. A bit on the cool side still but as always it’s good to get out and about. There were some Chinese New Year celebrations in progress, I caught up with them as they paraded along Northgate Street.
