BIRMINGHAM. Sweet is The Night.

Well 2021 has taken its last bow collected a farewell bouquet and has left the stage. It’s only three days into 2022 so too soon to come up with any real impressions of what sort of year it will be.

I’ve a couple of routes to chose from on my wanderings across the Wirral, the thumb like area that faces Liverpool on the one side and North Wales on the other.

One of the things I like to discover on my wanderings are the old, painted wall advertisements.

I took a trip into North Wales at the weekend. Train into Bangor then the bus onward to Caernarvon. The weather could have been a little kinder but it was a day out and there were photos to track down.

I have a liking for the walk along the promenade at Morecambe, especially the stretch from the Battery to Heysham village. The concrete seats and tables always catch my eye, I can never quite decide whether they are really for use or for decoration. Whenever I sit at one of them I half expect to be chased off by an irate gallery attendant. https://exploremorecambebay.org.uk/ https://www.visitlancashire.com/explore/morecambe-bay Other Links. https://lachlan-main.pixels.com/ https://www.amazon.co.uk/-/e/B00TKGBNYM https://www.shutterstock.com/g/Lachlan1/sets

As you head out of Birkenhead towards Bidston and the road starts to climb, a short way down to your left you will find Flaybrick Memorial gardens, formerly Flaybrick Cemetery.
