Summer evenings have their own special magic. As the sun settles itself away for a nights sleep the colours soften away from the days harshness and take on a gentle glow. I took this shot up in Scotland in the coastal town of Nairn. It lies a few miles to the east of Inverness at the point where the River Nairn slides itself into the Moray Firth.
The day had clouded over a little by now, adding another muted layer. The was enough light left though for a scattering of golden highlights on the waters of the harbour, their mirror finish reflecting back the hulls and masts of the boats.
