LLANGEFNI. First Time In Town.

The pig on the wall says hello.

Winter is closing in and getting it’s claws into the last of the year. A day of decent weather presented itself and I didn’t want it to go to waste. I’ve been making use of the train out to Bangor and the the local bus services out across Angelsey. So today I though I would have a test flight out to the market to of Llangefni to see what the journey times are like. The plan is come the longer summer days I can do a bit of criss crossing the island explore a bit more.

The clock and to the left the market hall, the information says Thursdays and Saturdays, a bit quiet today but it is winter, I’ll see what it’s like come spring/summer.
A decent brunch was had here, noted for next time.
Helped to keep the cold out.
Llangefni was one on the railway network, alas not at the moment, so a useful transport asset lies unused and unloved. Occasionally stories surface about reopenings but inaction seems to be the way (not) forward.
Tick tock goes the town clock.
