Okay, made it to Barrow around the top of Morecambe Bay, there was an hour or so before the next train onwards so that was a perfect excuse for a brisk walk down into town and find a coffee and a quick bite to eat. I had a look around the market, the building bis one of those 60’s/70’s shoe boxes that were all the rage but don’t age well. That said it’s what’s inside that matters and I found Mammy’s Cafe. It was toasted teacake time and a mug of coffee. Just what I was looking for. So that and a bit of a walk around brought me back to the railway station for the next leg.
