I’ve been working through the photo files this week, in between bursts of DIY and gardening. I know, who needs fast cars and whisky?
Anyway, I was working through a file of images I’d taken in Preston and I came across this pair. I was struck by the contrast between the traditional, the parched peas, the jacket potatoes and the newer choices. Falafel, wraps etc.

Both were parked on the same square, in font of the impressive, elegant bulk of the Harris Museum, each serving their customers quietly side by side.
(Feeling hungry again now…….)
