Lytham is on the branch line that runs from the main line to Blackpool North, it leaves that route at Kirkham & Wesham and heads down towards the coast on the estuary of the River Ribble as it flows out towards the Irish Sea.
The new year is beginning to pick up speed. Still one or two things hanging around from its predecessor but that’s nothing new.

I spent Sunday in Lytham, it was day two of the annual 1940’s weekend.
Ah yes I can hear you all thinking, the fool has been rummaging through his photographic dressing up box again and found something to amuse himself with.
Well after yesterdays travelling excitements I thought a quieter day was called for so I settled on lunch, by the sea in Lytham, favourite sport of mine on the Fylde coast and in a favourite eaterie of mine, the Lytham Kitchen.
