And hello from Lancaster, the trains in the UK are still bedeviled by industrial action but there are some skeleton services running so I’ve taken advantage of that to head out to Lancaster and Morecambe. The connections are a little adrift so I’ve had a quick walk around Lancaster before heading out to the seaside.
Should you find yourself in the English county town of Lancaster you could does than to take yourself off to the John O’ Gaunt pub ( other pubs are available) . I made my second visit this week and it was just as much fun as the previous one. I think it may be becoming a habit. I could think of worse ……. I took a ride over to Chorley today, the annual Flower Show was in progress and it’s an event I really enjoy. It’s not a rainy night in Georgia, it’s a rainy morning in Lancaster. I’m off and away to Cumbria using the excellent Stagecoach Explorer ticket, as Arthur Daley would say, the world is my lobster. I had lunch in Chorley today and as usual I had a wander through Astley Park and up to the Hall. The was activity all around, Chorfest was up and running and preparations were in hand for the upcoming flower show. That’s in my diary for the upcoming weekend.
