LOCH AWE. A Quiet Days Fishing.

If you take the road or the train out towards Oban you’ll pass Dalmally and Loch Awe. Sat brooding by the shore of the loch is Kilchurn Castle.

Well I’m sitting here in my little office at the end of another cold, grey and wet day. Winter is so much fun at times.

When the days are longer and the weather kinder I like to take a trip out to Chester, the walled city hard by the Welsh Border.

I spent Sunday in Lytham, it was day two of the annual 1940’s weekend.

A hop skip and a jump away by train, though it more comfortable if you sit down, is the Cheshire market town of Frodsham.

While I’m not a great fan of getting wet there is sometimes a bit of magic to be had walking amongst the flowers on a rainy day.
