Out and about today, making the most of the daylight before Winter’s icy hands get a grip on things and the long, languid days fade until the fresh buds of next spring. The destination for today is North Wales, Beaumaris on Angelsey to be exact. It’s a train and bus exploration so it will be interesting. It will also involve cake, coffee etc at some point.

Good morning to you all from the Merseyrail platform at Liverpool Lime Street. I’m on my way to Chester to see how far the rebuilding of the new market hall is progressing.
