I felt like treating myself. January is coming to a close and the days are starting to inch their way a little longer, if not much warmer as yet.

It’s been a grey, cold day here. One of those really unfriendly days, lacking any sort of charm. No crisp sunlight, not even the silvery kiss of freshly fallen snow. Just a lifeless sludge of a day.

My plans are fluid at the moment ( see what I did there ?) The train services still do not have their troubles to seek so I’ve curtailed the Ormskirk part of the day and have come up to Preston. Okay is Saturday, I’ve been redecorating most of the week so I need a change of scene that doesn’t involve bare plaster or piles of soggy old wallpaper. Liverpool’s Central station lies on the bones of it’s predecessor of the same name.
