I’m sat in my little spare bedroom of an office watching the rain hammer down outside, which is I suppose preferable to being out in it. Even without the current sadnesses and difficulties, this is a part of the year that always drags for me. Autumn has packed it’s bags. The showy reds and golds of the trees are all but gone for another year to be replaced by the cool, grey sternness of another winter.
