I’m in Manchester for a few hours, I fancied a walk around the city plus I need some fresh images for my photo library submissions. Needing food, a constant state for me, I took myself over to Ancoats and the New Islington Marina. This was created out of the network of canals that brought cargoes in and out of Manchester before railways and the iron horse gained the upper hand. After years of dereliction, new life has been breathed into the place with apartments, open spaces and places to eat. This time around I chose House of Esk and sat watching the world go by on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
