Time now for the next stage of my coffee and cake hunt. To the Wirral by the Merseyrail Wirral Loop Line !
In some ways this post has similarities with the Newcastle Metro I posted about previously. Both are largely based on conversations of existing rail routes, both are electric, Newcastle overhead, Wirral Loop 3rd rail and both have underground sections.
This route serves West Kirby, New Brighton and down to Chester, quite a comprehensive set of routes.
