Picture the scene, the weather is cold and just a bit damp. You have things to do so you have to venture out into less than friendly weather. You struggle through, mission accomplished and you head back to your train/ bus / car. You need cheering up, just then the warming aroma of fine coffee entwines itself around your nostrils as a mobile coffee van comes into view. Great you think, a coffee to perk you up for the last lap but there’s no shelter. The coffee is good, your served by an intelligent, sympathetic person but you’re still out on a cold wet street.
Brewed Boy has the solution. Put the van in a shop. A friend, a coffee-holic like myself introduced me to Brewed Boy in Leigh a couple of weeks ago. It sits on Brown Street North in a set of regenerated shop units that are bringing life and a bit of sparkle to this part of the town.
Olli the innovative proprietor sources his coffee from the excellent Ancoats Coffee Co of Manchester. I know another coffee-holic who’s first stop on any of his trips up to Manchester from home in South Wales is Ancoats Coffee.
So if you’re in the area, fancy a decent coffee, want to try somewhere unchained, go knock on Brewed Boy’s door. The cakes are good too………………..
