I’ve a couple of routes to chose from on my wanderings across the Wirral, the thumb like area that faces Liverpool on the one side and North Wales on the other.

I’ve a couple of routes to chose from on my wanderings across the Wirral, the thumb like area that faces Liverpool on the one side and North Wales on the other.

Every once in a while a shot comes along that is just so right only a fool would walk by and not get the camera out and push the shutter button. This is one such image.

I’ve mixed feelings about public art, not against it as such but some of it leaves me feeling a bit underwhelmed. I suppose it depends on what you see as public art. Many a town centre of a certain age has it’s stone flocks of statues to the great and good, local worthies and benefactors. Or commemorations of local events. At least they look like something.
