Well hello there from Lancaster bus station. No trains, or at least very few so it’s Plan B time. Up here by car, bus onwards up into the Lakes. I’ve a couple of destinations in mind, I’ll see what the weather decides to do and make it up as I go along. So that’s the state of play at the moment. Other updates to follow.

Okay so I ate the croissant. Today’s expedition is to the Lake District, not got off to the most organized of starts, auto ticket machines are not the most straightforward things to use. Today I will be mostly travelling through Cumbria. At the moment I’m on the glorious section that runs along the coast through Grange over Sands ( like it says above ) to Barrow. The stretch after that will be up the coast to Workington and then across by bus to Penrith and back down to Lancaster.
