It’s a flit about day, one of those peppered with lots of little jobs, the mouse sized ones that hide in life’s skirting boards and spring out when you least expect them. Anyway,I’m taking a break from them with a coffee and bacon sandwich in the 2 Brothers Coffee shop in the BookStop bookstore. Normal service resumes shortly.
The weather is still stuck in “Unfriendly” mode but sitting in looking out at the world outside is not one of my favourite ways to pass the time so it was on with the big coat and out on the bus to Preston.
Winter still has everywhere in a less than friendly grip, the grey days are dragging on. To get out and have have a shot of fresh, if cold air. I took myself off to Southport for a couple of hours. January is beginning to pack it’s bags ready to wave goodbye for another year. February is on the horizon with a promise of days starting to lengthen and hopefully more regular visits from Mr. Blue Sky. Well we can hope can’t we.
January is still being an “unhelpful” month, the cold winds and grey skies are not very encouraging when it comes to moving out of the house and braving the weather.
It’s been a trip to Chester day today. A bit on the cool side still but as always it’s good to get out and about. There were some Chinese New Year celebrations in progress, I caught up with them as they paraded along Northgate Street.
