It was a busy day yesterday, a dive up to Newcastle and back, so today’s pace is a lot slower and easier. Faffed around the house a bit first thing, then seeing this big bright yellow thing in the sky, it wasn’t an egg yolk so it must have been the sun. That decided it, I would go out for lunch. I chose Chorley and one of my favourite eating places, Bee’s Country Kitchen.
There’s a charity shop just by the bus stop and it’s always worth taking a look and this time it really paid off. I found an excellent Nikon, own brand zoom lens, for the princely sum of £10. Needless to say I am now the owner of the lens.

After that unexpected treat it was a very quick walk around the corner to the excellent Bee’s Country Kitchen and a Plughman’s Lunch.

It’s great when you come across a day that likes to give instead of take.
