Another visit to Morecambe is over, another day is done. I’ve been coming to the resort for virtually all of my life, so every visit is cloaked with an ephemeral dusting of half forgotten memories.
This slight melancholic feeling isn’t helped by the sparse facilities at the towns station. The impression is reinforced by being able to see the elegant building on the front that used to be the town’s station and across the road from that, the art deco splendor of the resorts famous Midland Hotel.

My route was Morecambe to Lancaster and then back down the West Coast Main Line. Collect the car and home. I’ll be back again before too long. Enjoy the town on the bay and it’s views across the Bay and stir some more memories again.
