GLASGOW. In The Frame.

A last flick through the Glasgow images from the recent trip and meet up.

Sorting through the photo files, trying to swap out the chaos and bring a little order. it’s one of those never ending tasks that well, never ends and I came across this scene.

Today I will be mostly travelling through Cumbria. At the moment I’m on the glorious section that runs along the coast through Grange over Sands ( like it says above ) to Barrow. The stretch after that will be up the coast to Workington and then across by bus to Penrith and back down to Lancaster. As any regular readers of these ramblings will know I like a proper market. Dream catchers and scented candles have their place but you cannot beat a decent, old fashioned market. Shrewsbury is one of those. I am not the biggest fan of the building’s architecture but the contents are superb. Fresh fruit and veg, meat and fish plush some extremely tidy places to eat. Put it on your list…….

Today I am heading north to my genetic homelands to meet up with my friend Gareth from Cardiff. Just go with that please. The day has the new minted, misty freshness I always enjoy. A soft focussed, impressionism that dresses a day with promise. And yes I have an extensive list of coffee/ cake/ fat rat establishments to carry the two of us through the day. I’m lucky in that I live within an easy striking distance of the English Lake District. It’s either a couple of hours or so in the car or a similar journey time by train to Windermere. Obviously it’s a popular destination which can make the roads busy so I have a preference for using the train. Not everyone’s cup of tea but it makes it worthwhile if I’m speeding along on the train and I pass traffic jams on the motorway’s or other roads.
