Well hello there from Lancaster bus station. No trains, or at least very few so it’s Plan B time. Up here by car, bus onwards up into the Lakes. I’ve a couple of destinations in mind, I’ll see what the weather decides to do and make it up as I go along. So that’s the state of play at the moment. Other updates to follow.

Today I am heading north to my genetic homelands to meet up with my friend Gareth from Cardiff. Just go with that please. The day has the new minted, misty freshness I always enjoy. A soft focussed, impressionism that dresses a day with promise. And yes I have an extensive list of coffee/ cake/ fat rat establishments to carry the two of us through the day.
