KESWICK. Taking A Bus Ride.

I’m lucky in that I live within an easy striking distance of the English Lake District. It’s either a couple of hours or so in the car or a similar journey time by train to Windermere. Obviously it’s a popular destination which can make the roads busy so I have a preference for using the train. Not everyone’s cup of tea but it makes it worthwhile if I’m speeding along on the train and I pass traffic jams on the motorway’s or other roads.

WHITEHAVEN. Faces On The Street.

The place, Whitehaven on the Cumbrian coast. The date March 2009. I have a great liking for this stretch of the UK’s coastline. It’s a journey I’ve made by the coastline hugging rail route quite a few times.
