It was to the coast for me last weekend, to Morecambe for the Vintage By The Sea festival.
It’s an event I only dropped onto last year though it has been running for a while. It’s an excuse to raid the dressing up box and polish, or get your chauffeur , to polish the drop head Bentley or elegant Alvis and pootle along to the seaside.
Thursday last was one of those days. I was at home trying to work through stuff but I knew that I wasn’t making any real progress. Days like this come and go so I’ve developed an approach that works for me. If I’m not getting anywhere with the days jobs, I just leave it and go out for a couple of hours, come back and start again. I know not everybody has the luxury of downing tools when they want to this is just me and my situation.
Right, so where were we? I’d just had a reviving coffee and cake and was ready to head out into the madness that is the Edinburgh Fringe. Hello from Edinburgh, the Festival is in progress and I am here for the day. Arriving about half an hour ago the first order of the day was of course coffee and cake. The weather has been on the un summery side lately, I know that for a fact after a very wet visit to the Llangollen Railway on a recent Saturday. The railway was fantastic, the weather wasn’t.
