Slowly, oh so slowly, Winter is beginning to loose its grip on the world around us, though it’s still going dark about five pm in these parts.
Bored with staring out of the window watching rain clouds scuttling across the skies, a few days back I decided to get out for a Sunday lunch to a favourite spot of mine. This weekend past I took a trip up to Silloth on the Solway Coast. It’s a place I hadn’t been to for quite a while and I had the urge to catch up with the town, to see what was as I remembered it and what might have changed.

It was the weekend of the annual flower show and naturally I hadn’t been sice last year. Shows like this are the sort of events I really enjoy. Outdoors, demonstrations, plenty to see and hear, plenty fun to be had.
