2025 is waiting by the exit door with increasing patience, plus the weather is not on its best behaviour so travelling has been influenced by grabbing a likely looking couple of hours by the neck and heading off out.
A few days back I took a trip down to Wrexham. The weather around these parts has slipped back into unfriendly/uncooperative mode but I didn’t feel like sitting in the house staring out of the window. It’s a relatively easy journey and it meant that I wouldn’t be sat sitting at home twiddling my thumbs. It was to be a day out with no set agenda, just go, see, eat some food, perhaps drink some beer.
Right we’re into November and 2025 is now starting the job of get it’s things together for the end of the year. Suitcase, that missing sock, the tickets and the passport etc. I’m sorting out too, as well. After my trip to Silloth the other week I thought I’d aim for Workington which is a little lower down the coast. While not the most touristy of locations it’s a place I have a fondness for, it’s a straightforward place but with enough quirky corners to go wandering around.
This weekend past I took a trip up to Silloth on the Solway Coast. It’s a place I hadn’t been to for quite a while and I had the urge to catch up with the town, to see what was as I remembered it and what might have changed.
