On my travels, I’m heading down to Shrewsbury to catch up with a friend before Christmas takes over and the roast dinner/ chocolate/ drink event horizon hits. This journey down Through the Welsh borderlands is a favourite of mine, each season adds a different flavour. Today’s is a light dusting of snow and a crisp, sharp light cutting through an idling mist.
When last we spoke I had just eaten my emergency pork pie, blundered there it was gorgeous, I should have bought two (possibly three?) and I was making my way back along the Bay to Morecambe and the train home.
