Right just to tidy up my Shrewsbury trip so it can be put safely into the big box of stuff and memories.
Lately the UK has been enjoying a run of hot weather, very enjoyable it is too. As well as being something of a guilty pleasure to us natives. Sunshine? Warm weather? Somehow the British Isles must have drifted off nearer to the Mediterranean.

When we spoke last I was just enjoying a reviving coffee and toast at the Shrewsbury Coffee House. My posts today have been a bit sporadic, a sort of electronic constipation. The Weekend has been and gone and Monday finds me a bit breathless after a Saturday trip up to Appleby to see the horse fair. Checking back I was startled to see that it was ten years since I was last there. So I decided it was time for a catch up.

I hadn’t been on a long train journey for a while, they are something I enjoy, just sitting back and letting the world wind itself past the window. Now the day’s are doing their exercises and stretching a bit more. It’s no longer getting dark at four in the afternoon but nearer six thirty so I can start to hit some of my favourite destinations as well as sniffing out some new ones.
