October is waiting in the wings, Autumn has its bags packed and is waiting for the taxi. There’s a glimmer of sunlight and a sliver of blue sky overhead. I thought I would chance a run out somewhere rather than let a day go to waste. You don’t get a refund on days you do nothing with.
Playing safe I decided on Lancaster, it’s a no trains day so it would be a bus trip. No heartache there,it’s a pleasant enough route and Lancaster has enough places to shelter should Mr. Bluesky do a runner.
Well he did……

The skies closed in and the weather went into the “unfriendly” setting. It was bearable for a while but it got boring dodging from dry spot to dry spot. I felt I needed some internal insulation and went in search of food. Something filling, it wasn’t salad weather.

Lewis’s cafe provided the answer, see the above plateful . Very welcome it was too.
